La Capannuccia and Sentiero del Gran Cono are two natural reserves located in the suburbs of Naples, Italy. Capannuccia is a wetland while the Sentiero del Gran Cono is a hiking trail. The Capannuccia reserve is an incredibly picturesque spot, with a sprawling landscape of green meadows, dense forest and wetland swamps. This is also a great spot for bird watching as many species of waterfowl visit the reserve. The trails are well-marked and visitors will find tall trees and wildflowers along the way. The Sentiero del Gran Cono is a looped trail measuring about 10 kilometers in length. Here visitors will find ancient olive groves, old-growth forests and areas of rocky terrain. For photographers, the flora and fauna make for interesting subjects and the views from the trail of the surrounding hills and the Gulf of Naples make for stunning photos.
