La Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière, also known as the "Marian Hill of Lyon," is a stunning Roman Catholic basilica that was built in the late 19th century. Its interior is quite impressive, with the main nave and two aisles decorated with colorful frescoes. The basilica is a popular destination for tourists and photographers, as it offers panoramic views of the city of Lyon. Its Romanesque design is also adorned with various sculptures, including the iconic sculpture of the Virgin Mary atop the dome. The basilica also hosts some interesting historical exhibitions, as well as musical concerts and other events throughout the year. It's well worth a visit when in Lyon!
