๐ From South point, France
L'Arc de Triomphe de l'Etoile is one of the most iconic monuments in France. Located at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle in the heart of Paris, it was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 to commemorate the French victory at the Battle of Austerlitz. Standing 50 meters tall, it is a great testament to French history and culture. Visitors can climb to the top of the arc for expansive (and fee-paying) views of the surrounding Paris skyline. At the base of the arc lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and eternal flame, which serve as a solemn reminder of the sacrifice of French soldiers. It is also the site of the Bastille Day parade each July. Come take a stroll around the arc to experience the beauty of Paris from a unique perspective.
