Kvernufoss is a spectacular tiered waterfall located in the south of Iceland. Its name means 'millwaterfall' and its cascading waters drop from a height of 32 metres down into a grotto at its base. Visitors can marvel at the beauty of this sparkling waterfall, as well as take in some of its surrounding wilderness. Photographers will also be captivated by its breathtaking scenery; both up close and in the distance, with the river meandering away into the horizon. Views of the surrounding mountains and fields beyond add to the tranquillity of Kvernufoss. Travelers can access the waterfall via a slight hike through rocky terrain, although the trail is well-worn and easy to traverse. Make sure you don't miss this stunning natural wonder!
