
Kuldiga St. Catherine's Evangelical Lutheran Church is one of the most impressive architectural monuments of Kuldiga, Latvia. Built in the late 17th century, the building is characterized by its many unusual features. The interior has two entrances, one ornately decorated and another plain one. The church is decorated with interesting paintings and sculptures including the large altarpiece depicting the saints Peter and Paul, carved from local limestone. The altarpiece is flanked by two lions warrior statues and the pulpit is in the form of a lion's head. The church also features its own cemetery, a bell tower and several chapels. It is a popular tourist attraction that you should visit while in Kuldiga, Latvia.
