Kugelbake, located in the seaside town of Cuxhaven in Germany, is a historical monument dating back to the 19th century and is the symbol of the end of the German coastline. The Kugelbake, or ball-baker, is a lighthouse-like structure that serves as an emblem for many of the port-town's activities. Visitors can explore the old pier and the seafront esplanade on the bank of the River Elbe. There is also a beach and a maritime museum located nearby. The town of Cuxhaven is filled with picturesque narrow streets and little restaurants, which make a pleasant stroll during an afternoon. In the harbor, a large number of vessels can be observed, as Cuxhaven functions as a sea ferry port.
