Krst na Rtnju, also known as the Rtanj Cross, sits atop Mount Rtanj in Eastern Serbia near the village of Mužinac. This mountain is renowned for its distinctive pyramidal shape, theorized by some to possess mystical energies. The cross itself is a memorial to the fallen soldiers of the Balkan Wars and is a pilgrimage site, especially significant during the Feast of the Ascension. Photographers will find breathtaking panoramic views from the peak, encompassing the rich natural scenery and vast landscapes. The trek to the top provides various opportunities to capture the flora and fauna endemic to the region. Best visited at dawn or dusk for stunning light conditions.
