
Korenmolen De Hoop is a beautiful and picturesque windmill located in Bunschoten-Spakenburg, a small village near the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands. This windmill was built in 1851 and is part of a series of windmills known as the Zuiderzee Mills, of which 11 originally stood on the former Zuiderzee. Korenmolen De Hoop is one of the only two remaining mills of this series. It is made of wood, bricks, and stone, and it has a diameter of 27 meters. The mill is open to visitors every Saturday afternoon, providing an insight into Dutch lifestyle, traditions, and its traditional mills. The mill is also equipped with a shop and a café serving light snacks and drinks. Visiting De Hoop not only offers you a chance to learn about Dutch history and experience its countryside beauty, but it also provides wonderful photo opportunities.
