Kloster St. Marienthal is a Cistercian abbey beside the Lusatian Neisse in Ostritz, near Germany’s border with Poland. Founded in the 13th century and still home to a community of nuns, it connects this border landscape with centuries of religious life. The Baroque church and convent buildings form a compact riverside ensemble, with pale façades and red roofs set against the greenery of the Neisse valley.
