King's Cross Station is one of the most famous and busiest railway termini in London. Located in Central London, the station serves over 50 million passengers each year and is a vital part of the London Underground Network. It is a major terminus for both domestic services and international trains. It is particularly known for its associations with the world-famous Harry Potter franchise, featured as the entrance to Platform 9¾, and its role as a major commuter hub. In 2018, King's Cross Station was extensively refurbished to modernise the station, improve access and increase capacity. It now features air-conditioning, new customer information screens, customer service points, and a new ticket office. The original part of the station, designed in 1852, has been preserved and is still in use today. Other facilities at the station include dozens of shops, restaurants, cafes and a variety of other services.
