It is set on a large granite base and is supplemented by a two-storey structure that displays the names of King Rama VI and many of his achievements. It is an iconic landmark of Bangkok and a popular spot for visitors and photographers alike due to its size and prominent location. The surrounding grounds boast lush vegetation, adding to its natural beauty. The monument can be reached from the center of Bangkok via the MRT subway system and a short walk from the Lumphini station.
