Covering an area of over 1500 acres, the park is split into two sections - the picnic spot and the hiking trail, both of which offer stunning natural beauty and wildlife. The picnic spot offers visitors plenty of grassy areas to spread out and enjoy the day, while the hiking trail offers a 7km route through the scenic plains. Along the way, visitors can expect some of the most breathtaking views of the Drakensburg range. Wildlife is abundant, with abundant species of birds, reptiles, and small mammals such as impala, kudu, and wildebeest. Visitors can also admire the ancient Cypress trees and sandstone formations that stretch up to 600 million years old.
