Kilim Geoforest Park occupies Langkawi’s northeastern coast and forms part of the Langkawi UNESCO Global Geopark. Its landscape is shaped by ancient limestone karst: sheer, forest-covered cliffs rise above tidal mangroves, caves, narrow waterways and the Andaman Sea. Boat routes from Kilim Jetty reveal changing visual layers, from tangled mangrove roots and weathered rock textures to broad openings framed by isolated limestone towers. Reflections are strongest on calm channels, while the transition from shaded river corridors to bright coastal water emphasizes the scale of the formations. The ecosystem supports macaques, monitor lizards, kingfishers and eagles; wildlife should be observed without feeding or disturbing it.
