Khokhlovka
📍 Russia
Khokhlovka is an open-air architectural and ethnographic museum located near Perm, Russia. Established in 1969, it showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Perm region through a collection of authentic wooden structures. The museum spans over 35 hectares and features more than 20 buildings, including traditional peasant houses, a windmill, a chapel, and a banya (bathhouse), each relocated from various parts of the Perm Krai.

What makes Khokhlovka particularly fascinating is its ability to transport visitors back in time, offering insight into rural Russian life from the 17th to the 20th century. The museum organizes various cultural events and festivals throughout the year, such as the annual "Khokhlovka Fest," which celebrates Russian folk traditions. The stunning backdrop of the Kama River and the Ural Mountains enhances the experience, making it a must-visit for those interested in Russia's architectural and cultural history.
