Kapellbahn is a chairlift in the Hochjoch sector of the Silvretta Montafon ski area, above Schruns in Vorarlberg’s Bludenz district. Rather than a landmark in Bludenz town, it forms part of the high-mountain lift network serving the slopes around Kapell. Visually, its line of suspended chairs and pylons gives scale to the open Alpine terrain, while groomed pistes and surrounding ridges create strong diagonals and layered backgrounds. In winter, moving skiers, bright snow and the dark geometry of the lift make the setting immediately recognizable.
