This townhouse belongs to the historic streetscape around Stary Rynek, Poznań’s Old Market Square and the traditional trading heart of the city. The surrounding houses occupy narrow plots inherited from the medieval town, with varied façade colours, window patterns and rooflines creating a distinctive rhythm along the square. Many buildings here were reconstructed after destruction during the Second World War, making the streetscape a record of both earlier urban life and postwar recovery. Viewed together, the closely spaced façades provide a colourful domestic contrast to the square’s monumental Renaissance Town Hall.
