Kálvária Banská Štiavnica is a hillside complex of 18th-century Slovak Lutheran chapels in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia. Built in the late Baroque/Rococo style, the complex has 11 chapels built into the steep terrace on the west side of the hill, each with its own altar and depicting different stages of the crucifixion's journey. One of the most striking aspects of the Kálvária are the views from the vantage points of its chambers. The complex has two terraced stairways leading up to the exterior of the chapels, as well as a path that winds between the individual chapels. The chapels are connected by a wide terrace, which features a fountain in the middle and a memorial to remember those who lost their lives here in World War II. The Kálvária is a popular destination for hikers and tourists who come to admire its stunning views and architecture.
