Set along the scenic Bow Valley Parkway in Banff National Park, the short, well-maintained trail to the Lower Falls offers a family-friendly adventure with stunning views of limestone cliffs and turquoise waters. The path is mostly paved or has catwalks, making it suitable for all skill levels. A small tunnel near the end of the trail allows you to experience the thundering waterfall up close – be prepared to get misted! Parking is available at the canyon trailhead, but it fills quickly during peak times, so arriving early or visiting on weekdays is recommended. Comfortable shoes and layered clothing are ideal, as conditions can be chilly even in summer.
