Jenny Lake is a glacially-carved lake located in Grand Teton National Park, in the state of Wyoming, United States. It has an estimated depth of 390 feet and is the second-largest lake in the park. Visitors can take advantage of the lake’s fishing, boating, swimming, and canoeing opportunities. Kayaks and motorboats are available to rent, as well as guided boat tours to explore the lake and its surrounding areas. There are numerous islands located in Jenny Lake for those seeking a more serene experience. Visitors will also find plentiful trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. From the top of Cascade Canyon overlook, stunning views of the entire lake and surrounding areas can be seen. Wildlife sightings are common in Jenny Lake and many species of birds and animals, including bears, deer, and moose, can be seen both on the land and in the water. During the summer months, rangers offer a variety of educational programs and guided hikes, as well as evening campfire talks.
