Jaswant Thada is a royal cenotaph in Jodhpur, India. It is made of intricately carved marble and was built as a memorial for Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The cenotaph is situated just below the Mehrangarh Fort, providing stunning views of the entire city. Even though the cenotaph may look delicate, it is incredibly sturdy and has been around for over 120 years. There are several cenotaphs present in the complex, including that of Jaswant Singh’s sons. The entire complex also has some beautiful gardens and a gorgeous lake, which makes it popular amongst photographers and tourists alike. The architecture of the cenotaph is a perfect representation of Rajputana style. The intricate carvings on the marble boards inside the complex are a must-see.
