It was founded in 1978 by French explorer and botanist Jean-Philippe Thoze and is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful gardens in the Caribbean. The garden features a rich and diverse selection of plants and trees, as well as native and exotic flowers, with winding pathways and charming bridges throughout. Visitors can explore the lush vegetation, including heliconias, orchids, bougainvilleas, anthuriums, and other tropical flowers, as well as a variety of birds, butterflies, and insects. The garden also features an outdoor sculpture park, the Grand’Rivière, which offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and its many small islands.
