📍 United States
James Turrell's "Twilight Epiphany" Skyspace is an art installation situated on the Rice University campus in Houston, United States. The site was designed by Los Angeles-based multimedia artist James Turrell, and features a 90-foot-tall LED light canopy and a 72-foot-wide landscape reflecting pool. Visitors to the installation are encouraged to lay down in the pool, which is connected to the LED canopy. The canopy then changes colors at various periods throughout the day in a light show synchronised to the chimes of the adjacent Lambert Hall carillon bells. The site also includes two spires, which light up at twilight and sunrise. The Skyspace has become an iconic gathering point on campus, with many university events taking place within it.
