📍 India
Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques, was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in 1656. Its red sandstone and white marble architecture create stunning photo opportunities, particularly during golden hour when the natural light enhances the intricate carvings and imposing domes. The mosque’s courtyard can hold up to 25,000 people, offering a spectacular panoramic view of Old Delhi's bustling streets from its southern gate. Photography is allowed, but there is a fee, so plan accordingly. To capture its spiritual essence, visit during prayer times, although access to the mosque may be restricted. Dress modestly and be prepared to remove your shoes; attire like robes is available for rent at the entrance.
