📍 From Jax Beach, United States
Jacksonville Beach Pier extends about a quarter mile into the Atlantic from the city’s central beachfront, serving as both a fishing platform and a defining landmark of the Jacksonville Beaches. The concrete structure was rebuilt after severe damage from Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and reopened in 2022. From shore, its repeating pilings create strong lines beneath the deck, especially when framed with breaking waves or surfers; from the pier, the view opens along the broad, low-rise coastline. Its eastward orientation makes the silhouette particularly recognizable against sunrise colors, while sea spray, weathered surfaces, anglers, and seabirds add texture and local activity.
