Isola Bella, or the "Beautiful Island", is a stunning rocky island located off the shore of Taormina in Sicily, Italy. The island is accessible only by private boat, and it is home to a magnificent 17th-century Baroque palace, the Palazzo Bella. Surrounding this palace, old fortifications include bastions and watchtowers from the 16th century.
At the edge of the island lies a stunning beach with crystal clear turquoise waters perfect for swimming and relaxing. Peaceful and tranquil gardens and terrace pavements filled with statues, fountains and flowerbeds define the atmosphere of this place. One of the highlights is the Grotta Azzurra, a spectacular limestone cave which can be easily reached from the beach on the island.
