📍 India
Isa Khan’s Tomb stands in Delhi’s Nizamuddin neighborhood, within the Humayun’s Tomb complex, though it predates the larger Mughal mausoleum. Built in the mid-16th century for Isa Khan Niyazi, an Afghan noble of the Sur period, it has an octagonal plan set within a matching garden enclosure. Arched openings and small domed pavilions give its central dome a layered silhouette, while carved stone and blue glazed tiles reward a closer look. A mosque nearby makes this corner of the complex feel like a distinct historic setting rather than simply an approach to Humayun’s Tomb.
