Ireland's Eye Island provides mesmerising views and a variety of landscapes. It has a rocky, treeless terrain surrounded by stunning vistas of land, sea and sky. It contains a 19th-century lighthouse, an ancient monastic chapel, Seabirds (such as Guillemots, Puffins and Kittiwakes, Barnacle Geese, etc.) and four small harbours and natural bays, making it a paradise for photographers. It is a popular spot for birdwatchers and surfers. The island is reached by boat from Howth or Skerries, and can be circumnavigated in about an hour. Visitors should always wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring something to eat and drink. There are also no public toilets on the island.
