Inthara Rangsan Fort
📍 Thailand
Inthara Rangsan Fort is a stunning ancient fortress fort in Thailand's bustling capital city of Bangkok. Built in 1679 by King Taksin the Great, the fort served as an important defensive structure during the city's period of growth. Today, the grand old site is an interesting stop for tourists and photographers alike, and can be explored on foot. The acreage of the site contains a wide variety of wonderfully preserved features, such as four cannons, three moats, sturdy stone walls, a temple, and an ancient watchtower. Incredibly, despite the bustling business of Bangkok, this location allows you to almost forget you're in the middle of the city with its isolation and tranquility. The interior of the fort is free to walk around and explore, and is an exciting place for those interested in history, and for photographers keen to capture the beauty of some rare old-world landscapes.
