India Gate, a prominent monument in New Delhi, India, stands as a war memorial dedicated to the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931, the 42-meter-high arch is reminiscent of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Located at the heart of the capital, it is part of the ceremonial axis, known as the Rajpath, and is a popular spot for both locals and tourists.
