It can be easily reached by boat from the mainland. The islet is about 300 meters long and 120 meters wide, and on the map it looks like a huge ellipse. The islet is mostly formed by a coastal rock formation full of cracks and crevices that were shaped by the force of the waves over time. It is an amazing place for exploring nature, since its surface is covered with unique plants and animals, such as cormorants, little egrets, various species of fish, several species of algae and Posidonia marine meadows. Illot de la Cantera's stunning beauty also attracts many divers, as it offers an incredible underwater landscape.
