Il Tempio di Adriano, also known as the Temple of Hadrian, is a Corinthian style temple located in Roma, Italy. It was built in the 2nd century AD under the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian as part of the Pantheon complex. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Venus and houses sculptures representing the various emperors’ relatives. The temple itself is known for its grand and imposing structure, standing at over 30 meters tall. Its vast triple flight of stairs, pedimented with statues, creates a majestic entrance to the temple which sits atop the arcaded Aventine Hill. The interior of the temple is vast and simple, yet is abundant with artwork and sculptures from its long history. Visitors can explore its aisles, take in its rich history, and admire its timeless architecture.
