Il Foro Romano is a historic site in Rome, Italy, located in the city center between the Palatine Hill and the Capitoline Hill. It was the heart of the Roman Republic and Empire and served as a forum for public events and debates. Today, it is one of the most well-preserved Roman monuments in the world, offering a unique insight into the grandeur of ancient Rome. There are many monuments and relics from the Imperial and Republic period that are still standing, including large columns, temples, and statues.
