Igreja do Sameiro in Penafiel, Portugal is a neo-Gothic style church built in 1905. With its 39m spire and two bell towers, it is a remarkable part of the city's skyline. Inside, visitors can explore its traditional architecture and refinement. One of its main features is the blue and white azulejos, a typical feature of Portuguese churches. It was built as a tribute to Our Lady of Sameiro and contains images and artifacts dedicated to her. Every year, the city of Penafiel celebrates the festival of Sameiro, which recognizes the Patron Saint of the city. Visitors can also explore the old Murça School and monastery near the church.
