The Iglesia Mayor Prioral, located in El Puerto de Santa Maria in the Spanish province of Cadiz, is a stunning late Gothic church that stands as one of the town's most popular attractions. Built in 1260, the church was completely remodeled in the late 16th century, making it a fascinating mix of architectural styles. The church is adorned with a beautiful portico, protected by a railing, leading up to the gothic grand entrance with its classic period design. Inside, the central nave is surrounded by other smaller chapels with decorated altarpieces, interspersed with elaborate carved tombs and sculptures. The castle nearby is another interesting site to visit, with its enthralling gardens and great views. Inside, there is a large courtyard garden, a cloister and a few other attractions. Strolling around the area reveals a wealth of historical sites and traditional Spanish architecture, making it an ideal place for those eager to soak up some of the local history and culture.
