Iglesia de San Marcos is a medieval Gothic-Mudéjar church on Plaza de San Marcos, beside Calle San Luis in the northern part of Seville’s historic center. Its pointed stone portal follows the Gothic tradition, while the brick tower’s geometric ornament reflects the Islamic-influenced craftsmanship that continued under Christian rule. The tower’s interlacing diamond patterns echo the Giralda, connecting this neighborhood landmark to Seville’s wider architectural identity. Seen from the square, the tall, square tower contrasts with the low church façade, bringing patterned brickwork and deeply recessed stone arches into the same composition.
