The Iglesia de San Lesmes Abad is a beautiful church located in the historic center of Burgos in northern Spain. Built in the 15th century, this Romanesque-style church is one of the most prominent historical landmarks in the city. The church consists of three naves with a ribbed vault and a cloister. Inside, you can admire the main altarpiece, the choir at the front and the chapel of Virgen de la Cueva at the side. There is also a fantastic Gothic cloister in the church, which dates back to the 16th century and has a garden with a central fountain. Visitors can also take a tour of the crypt which contains tombs of notable citizens of Burgos. The Iglesia de San Lesmes Abad has detailed artworks, medieval features of architecture and grandeur of the past all around. The church is open to the public throughout the year and makes for an essential part of Burgos sightseeing.
