ICONSIAM is a large shopping and leisure complex on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok’s Khlong San district, on the Thonburi side of the city. Opened in 2018, it combines luxury retail and dining with SookSiam, an indoor market presenting regional Thai foods and crafts in settings inspired by traditional markets, including water channels recalling floating markets. Its angular glass façades and gold-toned architectural details give the riverfront a distinctly contemporary profile. The broad riverside terrace offers views across passing ferries and long-tail boats toward the hotels and towers of the opposite bank, placing Bangkok’s working river and modern commercial skyline in the same frame.
