"I Caraibi del Salento" is the local nickname for the sandy bay at Torre dell'Orso on the Adriatic coast of Salento, southern Italy. The spot is visually striking for its pale, wide sand and clear, blue-green water that produces strong color gradients against the light limestone shoreline. The bay is framed by low cliffs and maritime pine trees, while the pair of offshore limestone stacks known as the Due Sorelle provide a distinct compositional anchor and a sense of scale. Photographically, foreground sand textures, the contrast between warm stone and cool sea, and the stacks silhouetted against open water create simple, balanced frames; seasonal light shifts the water’s hue but the core geometry remains unchanged.
