Hvitserkur Rock is an iconic basalt sea stack found off the eastern coast of Iceland. It rises 15 meters out of the sea and is said to look like a dragon drinking from the sea. The cylindrical volcanic rock formation is a popular spot for visitors to the northeast coast of Iceland and can be seen from the shoreline of the coastline of Vatnsnes. The rock is thought to be over 15 million years old, and it is said to have formed by sea erosion. The unique look and feel of the location makes it a great spot for sightseeing, and also provides a great opportunity for photographers to take some stunning and unique photos. If you visit in the summer, you can expect to see a variety of seabirds and seals.
