Hvidbjerg Strand is a sandy beach on the southern shore of Vejle Fjord, near Børkop in eastern Jutland. Its defining landmark is Hvidbjerg, the prominent pale sand hill whose name means “white hill.” This striking dune gives the shoreline a character more often associated with Denmark’s North Sea coast, but here the setting is a fjord bordered by wooded slopes. From the beach, the exposed sand forms a bright, sculptural backdrop against the surrounding greenery; from higher ground, the view opens across the water to the opposite shore. People on the sandy slopes provide a useful sense of the hill’s scale.
