The Hungarian Parliament Building and Buda Castle Funicular in Budapest, Hungary, is a must-see for any tourist. It is home to the National Assembly, or Parliament, and is located near the iconic Buda Hill and the Danube River. The Parliament building is amongst the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the world and was designed by renowned architect Imre Steindl in 1885. Its grand dome can be seen from the castle fortress and the Pest side of the city. Built in 1870, the Buda Castle Funicular provides a direct connection between the castle and Buda Hill. Its two cars, 'Chain Bridge Car' and 'Castle Hill Car' offer excellent views of the enchanting Danube and the unmissable Houses of Parliament while you take a relaxing ride.
