Hubbrücke Magdeburg, also known as the Magdeburg Lifting Bridge, is an important industrial monument and a striking photo subject in Magdeburg, Germany. Built in 1848 and rebuilt after WWII, this steel railroad bridge spans the Elbe River. Its most unique feature is the lifting middle section, which was historically used to allow ships to pass. The bridge offers stunning compositions both from the riverbanks and from the path atop the structure, particularly at sunrise or sunset when the light enhances its intricate steel framework. Directly nearby, the Elbauenpark with its green landscapes and seasonal flowers provide excellent contrasting shots.
