📍 Iran
Hosseiniyeh Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra is a Shi’a religious gathering hall in Tehran, named in honor of Fatimah al-Zahra, daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and a deeply revered figure in Shi’a Islam. Unlike a mosque, a hosseiniyeh is primarily arranged for communal ceremonies, sermons, and mourning assemblies, especially during Muharram and commemorations connected with the Prophet’s family. Its significance lies less in monumental architecture than in its role as an active neighborhood space for collective devotion. Visitors should dress modestly, follow local directions about removing shoes, and seek permission before photographing ceremonies or worshippers.
