📍 From Entrance, Norway
Hovden Lighthouse is a beautiful landmark in Hovden, Norway. Built in 1885, it is one of the oldest lighthouses in Norway. It is a cylindrical cast iron structure standing 20m tall, featuring a red lantern room with three stories. Every night it emits a light of seven flashes in a 5-second interval that can be seen over a 20 nautical mile radius. Sitting atop a small hill at the entrance to the harbor, it offers stunning views of the harbor and surrounding area. Visitors can explore its grounds and take in the sights from a nearby overlook. There is also a café located near the lighthouse, making it the perfect spot for a break during sightseeing. The lighthouse also serves as an important navigation tool for both recreational and freight vessels in the area.
