The House of Lords is the upper house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and is located in the Palace of Westminster, in the city of London, United Kingdom. The Burghers of Calais are a group of statues by the French sculptor Auguste Rodin situated outside the eastern end of the building. The sculptures, commissioned by the city of Calais, were installed in 1895 and depict six citizens of Calais during the Hundred Years' War. It is one of the most iconic monuments in London, and a must-see destination for visitors to the city.
