Hospitalsbunkeren (Hospital Bunker) is a WWII bunker located in Lemvig, Denmark, also known as Bunker R622. This concrete fortification structure was built by the Germans during their occupation of the area and was meant to be used as a hospital for wounded soldiers. Hospital Bunker has a unique preserve of Nazi-made bunk beds, laboratory equipment and even medical supplies. The bunker, made up of seven floors, is open all year round, where visitors can explore the rooms, tunnels and halls during a guided tour. You can learn more about the bunker’s past at the museum and educational center located at the main entrance. Tempratures inside the bunker can be cool, be sure to bring a coat or a jumper. There is also a gift shop located at the entrance, selling souvenirs and memorabilia.
