The Horloge's Tower is a historical monument located in Pernes-les-Fontaines, France. Built in 1301 by order of the Lord of Penes, it stands proudly atop the city, dominating the skyline. The tower is 150ft tall and sits on a freestanding base which is feet away from the walls of the city. Constructed primarily of sandstone and mortar, the tower has been through and survived centuries of weather and war. The most prominent feature of the tower is a clock which was added to the building in 1580. The clock is still in use today and gives the tower its name. The tower is open to the public for climbing and offers breathtaking views of the city and surrounding area.
