The Horace Wilkinson Bridge is a spectacular cable-stayed bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Opened in 1982, the bridge is a marvel of modern engineering. It carries U.S. Highway 190 over the river, offering an Iconic view of the city skyline for motorists. The bridge features a single main span of 810 feet (247.19 m) connected to two 420-foot (128.01 m) back spans, and rises 175 feet (53.34 m) above the river. At night it is especially breathtaking, with its white diamond-shaped tubing adorned with colorful LED lights. The bridge provides a gateway to explore the history, art and culture of Baton Rouge, the state’s capital city. The area nearby is renowned for its incredible restaurants, outdoor parks and boutiques. It’s definitely worth a visit!
