One of the area's most popular spots for visitors is the Suicide Cliff. It is a historic site commemorating the thousands of Chinese refugees that jumped to their deaths from the cliff in 1949 during the Chinese Civil War. Although the atmosphere is somber, the striking beauty of the cliff and the water is something to behold.
