The Holy Trinity Cathedral (Cathédrale de la Sainte-Trinité) is a 19th-century French Neo-Byzantine Revival architectural masterpiece in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. This cathedral, located at the intersection of rue Notre Dame de Nazareth and rue des Petits Champs, was built between 1841 and 1867, replacing the original church which dated back to the late 17th century. The cathedral is adjacent to the Opéra-Comique theater and served as a reminder of both the City of Lights’ artistic and religious heritage. Holy Trinity was refurbished in the early 2000s and has attracted a number of visitors ever since due to its beautiful interior and spectacular cupolas. The interior features monumental stained-glass windows and neo-Byzantine mosaics depicting biblical scenes. The intricate blue and gold frescoes depicting the symbols of Trinity atop the high altar are particularly famous. With its gilded domes and golden cupolas, the Holy Trinity Cathedral is a breathtaking sight to behold.
